Dr.R.Sridharan, born in 1952 passed MBBS in 1974 and MD in General Medicine in 1979 from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Pondicherry, affiliated to Madras University, India. He was certified in Neurology in 1981 from Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, India. He has worked as Lecturer in Neurology at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, Bangalore, India from 1982 to 1983 and as Lecturer in Neurology. He is presently working as Senior Consultant Neurologist at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, India since 1985. He is also a Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Liverpool, UK since 1999. He is one of the Editors,of the Cochrane Epilepsy Review Group based at Liverpool, UK. He has about 70 publications in various Journals. He has given several invited lectures, CME lectures at important conferences, guest lectures and orations. He is a Fellow of the Indian Academy of Neurology, Corresponding Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology, Member of the Neurological Society of India, Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (India)
